Instead of naturally producing more pressure at higher temperatures and less pressure at lower temperatures, this modifies the material’s response. Although slightly faster than Reloder 17, Reloder 16’s burn rate is still well within the 4350 mph range.
That makes it perfect for use in 30-06 Spring and 270 Win. cartridges, as well as 6.5mm target loads and tactical applications that call for consistent temperatures.

To counteract the material’s tendency to generate more pressure at higher temperatures and lower pressure, this method manipulates the material’s response. Even within the burning band 4350, the reloder 16 burns at a slightly faster rate than the reloder 17. This means it works great with standard hunting cartridges like the 30-06 Spring and 270 Wins, as well as 6.5 mm target loads and tactical uses in temperature-stable environments.
